This above picture was the picture of the day… rather… disaster of the day for Jack Dorsey.
Its an irony that Jack (Twitter’s infamous CEO) came all the way to India with an agenda to fix twitter’s image and in turn (Thanks to a few woke feminists) has pretty much ruined his image. Let’s start from when he first landed in India.
His original plan was to meet Prime Minister Modi first, but with some divine intervention, he decided to meet Rahul Gandhi first. Rumor is that this was requested by Rahul’s social media team. One wonders why?
Then came the infamous cross-legged pose in front of the Prime Minister which threw many twitter users off gear. Sure enough, he is sitting in front of the Chief Executive of the government of India and not a puny multi national company. Some respect Jack? Momma not taught you this eh?
With these debacles already to his name, one is baffled why Jack would step into the next minefield laid out neatly by Anna Vetticad, Amrita Tripathi and Barkha Dutt (yes, the same journalist who said Kashmiri Pandits were killed because of their economic status… with no apologies… but let’s keep that for another day). It’s also surprising to see Vijaya Gadde (Lead Counsel for Twitter) standing right next to Jack. Does she have any clue on the legal ramifications this will have. (I know someone has filed a FIR already… Good luck with that Vijaya!)
Let’s now revisit the picture that started this whole controversy.
Allow me to zoom in on that poster that Jack is holding. It says “Smash Brahmanical Patriarch”. Sure enough, there was an uproar on social media. When terrorism has no religion, how does patriarchy become Brahmanical? Obviously, there seems to be a stronger message in this. I don’t think these woke feminists care two hoots about patriarchy or Brahmins or Brahmin patriarchy whatever that means. What we need to do is to substitute Brahmanical with Hindu. That is exactly the message that was being sent.
Another question that comes to mind is this… Why would Jack act so naïve to hold a poster that is handed to him without using his mind? And when Twitter India gave the justification, they dug an extra foot in the grave for Jack.
“All sides of important public conversations that happen on our service around the world” – Alright then I am sure would we would want him to have a discussion on how the Rohingyas are being persecuted by the Myanmar army while he is in Rangoon now. And if someone gives him a poster like this… would he post it on Twitter?
Now coming to the last level of details. Zoom further into the poster and you see something important.
Equalitylabs.org is the organization behind this poster. This organization is blatantly hinduphobic. Why do I say this? Here is a statement from their mission statement “Our membership includes Dalits (formerly known as the “Untouchable” people), Adivasi (indigenous people of South Asia), Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, and Christian South Asians.” Let me know if you see something similar to what all our left liberals keep doing on twitter. Create a rift between Hindus and the rest. Also, this organization seems to be getting a major chunk of their donations from the United States. If the mission was all about south Asians, look at the last line “In doing so, we can truly ensure all South Asian Americans can create communities with equity.” Interesting indeed.
Their research and knowledge on caste is as bland as their website. The same colonized definition of a pyramid and how the Dalits are oppressed is a concoction they have tried to publicize. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans see these websites and believe this to be true (Mission Accomplished!!). What takes the cake however ? They say that their research shows that Dalits are oppressed in the United states.
Lastly, do check who are on the advisory board…
It is completely Infested with usual suspects and far left ideologues.
The bottom line of this fracas is however this - This meeting with Jack was not just another catch up with friends meeting. It was a well planned, one sided, agenda driven, hinduphobic, hatred filled, mock session and the picture is the tip of the iceberg. The video or the transcripts of the session may reveal much more.
