The Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army, also known as the 14 Corps, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with JCBL Group’s Airbornics Defence and Space on 16 October 2025 to set up a New Generation Vehicle repair hub and warehouse at the 14 Corps Zonal Workshop in Leh.
According to the official press release, the initiative aims to enhance the Army’s logistics readiness by providing a dedicated original equipment manufacturer warehouse and repair facility for New Generation Vehicles within the workshop premises.
Under the partnership, JCBL Group will provide expertise in defence manufacturing, technical support, training, retro modification, and research and development through the NGV Hub framework in Leh, and the company will maintain ready stocks of fast-moving spares for vehicles and equipment supplied to the Army and supply critical war-related stores via its group companies in India and abroad.
Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director, JCBL Group, said, "This collaboration with the Fire & Fury Corps is special for us as it is one of the most operationally committed formations. Incorporating industry at the field formation level will significantly improve equipment availability and operational readiness".
Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla emphasised that this collaboration would significantly enhance the operational readiness of 14 Corps and encouraged Army units to fully leverage the industry warehouses at forward locations. Plans are underway to expand similar industry warehouse facilities to three additional forward locations under the 14 Corps area of responsibility.
