  Bhanoji Rao is presently Adjunct Professor, Institute of Water Policy, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS, Singapore. He is a Governing Board Member, GITAM and ICFAI Societies.

  Up until 2001, he had over 3 decades of teaching and research experience at the National University of Singapore and 6 years of research and operational experience at the World Bank (Washington and Jakarta). From 2001 on, he was 2012 - 2015: Hon Professor, IBS, Hyderabad; 2009 – 2011: Professor, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National U. of Singapore; 2007 – 2011: Visiting Professor, ASCI, Hyderabad; 2001-2007: Visiting Faculty, Centre for Public Policy, IIM, Bangalore; and Honorary Research Professor and Professor Emeritus, GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade, Visakhapatnam.

  Prior to going out of India, during 1959-67, he held teaching and research positions at M R College (Vizianagaram), Andhra University (Visakhapatnam), Demographic Research Centre (Bombay), Census Office (Hyderabad) and Tata Steel (Jamshedpur).

  His consultancy clientele included Singapore Airlines, IBM-Singapore, IDRC –Canada, UNESCAP, the World Bank and most recently ADB, Manila.

  He published 19 books, 40 chapters in books, 62 papers in refereed journals, 14 monographs and over 100 columns in print media in India and Singapore.

  His latest book was published in May 2017 by Routledge, London and New York: Human Evolution, Economic Progress and Evolutionary Failure.
