Union Minister Ananth Kumar passes away at 59

Union Minister Ananth Kumar passed away on early Monday morning at the age of 59 in Bengaluru. He was reportedly battling cancer and succumbed to the disease on November 12, 2018. He leaves behind a huge legacy of being the man to hold the flag of the BJP in southern India, especially Karnataka for 35 years. He has been a 6 time MP from Bengaluru South, holding that seat and winning it by huge margins since 1996.
He was the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and he also held the portfolio of Chemicals and Fertilizers in the current Modi Government. He was in the Civil Aviation minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 1998 government. A lifelong BJP man, he along with B S Yeddyurappa and others was credited for building the party’s base in Karnataka and getting them to power for the first time in 2008. His untimely death comes as shock to the Nation.
