Sincerely Asking – These are the questions that should be asked to Rahul Gandhi but never get asked

As election season is upon us with a month-long campaign of various candidates and parties, fiery speeches, tall promises and most importantly with the first phase of polling already completed, I am a second time voter who will be marching down the polling station on the 29th to cast my vote in these Lok Sabha elections.
Media covering these campaigns and candidates is either going gaga over some royal candidates abruptly starting to act like mortals, or busy hosting shouting matches which they call debates, amongst all media headlines, flashes of breaking news and speeches filled with political punchlines I still have many questions and I think I’m entitled to some answers.
So, I thought it will be a fun experiment to ask a few questions directly to the candidates who are supposed to be in running for Prime Minister’s post, one by one.
Starting with the prince charming of Indian National Congress Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
Here goes Nothing!
- The #NYAY scheme you preach is supposed to roll out Rs.72,000/- yearly for a family, which in total will support 5,00,00,000 poor families, amounting to Rs.36,00,00,00,00,000/- per annum; can Union Come up with that kind of money?
How will it affect other welfare schemes by Union for these families?
- As this scheme is supposed to take up 1.8 to full 2 percent of GDP, the only way you can account for distributing this money is by cutting expenditure of union on other welfare schemes for citizens under the line of poverty.
- It is a general rule that, if a individual or entity is a beneficiary of a welfare scheme they become ineligible for ones which encompass a broad spectrum of aid or falls under same ambit of scheme one is beneficiary of, so won’t a family that receives RS.72,000/- under NYAY be ineligible to other Union welfare schemes?
- In my opinion this scheme which is a ‘Quasi-Universal Basic Income Scheme’, will directly harm our free market economy in long term as many leading economists have expressed their concerns about a socialist economic structure (UBI) which redistributes wealth, powered by capitalistic elements of the economy (free market trade, lower tax rates, lesser governmental regulation etc.) eventually overburdening capitalistic means and leading to a gradual but certain failure of economy; how does your party plan to avoid that?
- Why does your party think that introducing a Quasi-UBI Scheme in a nation where we are still lack equal and abundant opportunities is beneficial instead of focusing on creation of said equal and abundant opportunities in first priority?
- Don’t you think NYAY scheme will increase the burden on common taxpayer?
- You wish to repel Sec.124A of IPC, why do you think inciting war against the democratic republic of India or destruction of it which is established by constitution should be legal?
Or do you inherently believe that Republic of India is a
Tyrannical state?
- Why does your party believe that a freedom should be granted to those who undermine the unity and integrity of Republic of India which is an entity established by Constitution of India; don’t you respect our constitution?
- Should calling direct threats against Republic of India be legal? Because repelling sec.124A it won’t constitute as an offence.
- In past 5 years you've questioned the building blocks of Indian Democracy (Like Supreme Court, ID, CBI, Reserve Bank, Armed Forces etc.) antagonising them & remarking that you don't trust them, why should an elector like me vote an anarchist like you?
- Your attempts to shrug off Supreme Court’s decision on Rafale Deal shows you don’t respect a constitutional institution working to uphold the Indian Democracy.
- Your attempts to malign security forces by asking them about proof of their operations (which if disclosed can harm our national security), along with your party manifesto directly implying that each member of security force is a potential sexual predator or a rapist shows your disregard of those who are risking their life to serve Indian Republic.
- Your bashing of ED-CBI indicates your disbelief in them.
- So in conclusion, you are an individual, who doesn’t believe or respect the fundamental mechanism which stands to uphold, safeguard and promote democracy in Indian Republic.
- So why do you and your party are mainstreaming anarchy to pollute political discourse of this country?
- Whenever talking about unemployment you never talk about your solution or plan of creating more jobs opportunities?
- On one hand industry is facing scarcity of skilled labour yet there are youth who are stuck with training in one field but no job opportunities, who do you neglect that?
- What policy/administrative solution do you propose to combat the vast need of skilled labour by industry as well as destigmatising youth into taking hose jobs?
- Don’t you think rolling Rs.72,000/- per annum will increase the rate of people quitting workforce, as incentive to work will be taken away?
- Why your campaign never focuses directly on the Education?
- Being educated and well informed opens up opportunities for one to work hard, trade his labour and improve their standard of living, earn more wedge etc.
- Don’t you and your party think of education as a better and more sustainable way to combat unemployment and eradicate poverty?
- Are there any educational reforms which you wish to bring about to combat unemployment?
I’ve followed your campaign fairly closely and I see some faults in your logic or a complete lack thereof, hence with a slim hope of reply I’m #SincerelyAsking
