As the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections come to a close, and India awaits the results on May 23- the political columnists of MyIndMakers who have covered the 2019 Elections from every part of India offer their numbers and their scenarios of who will form the government on May 23.
Along with the co-founder of MyIndMakers, Aadit Kapadia- senior columnists S Sudhir Kumar, Shwetank Bhushan, Avatans Kumar, Mohal Joshi and Kishor Narayan offered their predictions for May 23.
The numbers are as follows:
All the columnists are forecasting a simple majority for the NDA. Two columnists- Aadit and Mohal put the BJP within a few seats of the majority whereas Kishore puts them just near the majority. Avatans, Shwetank and Sudhir have the BJP comfortably crossing 272 and the NDA getting close to their 2014 number.
Lok Sabha 2019- Aadit’s Numbers
Lok Sabha 2019- Sudhir’s Numbers
All the polls have the Congress falling well short of 100, many even see the UPA struggling to reach there. But there seems to be the consensus among the columnists that UPA does not look like coming close to power.
Lok Sabha 2019- Shwetank’s Numbers
Lok Sabha 2019- Mohal’s Numbers
If one looks at the others numbers it looks like, the others are not coming close to causing the impact that they thought they would especially in states like Uttar Pradesh,
Lok Sabha 2019- Avtans’s Numbers
Lok Sabha 2019- Kishor’s Numbers
The consensus it seems from all the numbers is that PM Narendra Modi is likely to come to power again on May 23. Whether he comes again with a simple majority or with a reduced mandate remains to be seen. The numbers are in, let’s see which columnist gets the closest to the results on May 23.
