CM Naveen Patnaik distributes appointment letters to 572 principals, teachers who joined Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas

According to reports, a total of 572 Principals and Teachers have joined Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, with 542 of them joining Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas and an additional 30 joining Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas. This significant recruitment took place in a single day and was accompanied by an orientation event during the Nijukti Parva, held at the convention center in Lok Seva Bhawan.
During the event, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik encouraged the newly appointed teachers and principals to make dedicated efforts to unlock the potential of their students. He expressed optimism that this substantial appointment would greatly benefit Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas and urged the new educators to strive to make these institutions among the best in the country.
Emphasising the importance of teaching quality, the Chief Minister stated that the success of an educator lies in recognising the inherent potential of students and actively working to unleash it. He stressed the need for instilling confidence in children to dream big and achieve what was previously deemed impossible.
In alignment with the 5-T initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized the empowering role of technology, teamwork, transparency, and time management in the lives of children. He encouraged the newly appointed principals to implement this initiative in their respective institutions.
Chief Minister Patnaik congratulated the Principals and Teachers, underscoring that the vision for a new and empowered Odisha can be realized by providing every child with the power of education. Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas were established with the goal of offering free quality education in English medium to rural talents from Odisha.
Highlighting the significance of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, the Chief Minister described them as launch pads for students, allowing them to broaden their horizons and soar higher.
He also expressed delight over the achievements of Adarsha Vidyalaya students in national-level entrance exams for engineering and medical education, reaffirming that these institutions provide the right environment for students to pursue their dreams.
In addition to the appointment of teachers and principals, Chief Minister Patnaik inaugurated nine hostel buildings in various locations, including Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, and Sundargarh. An academic building in Angul was also inaugurated, along with the launch of the Mukhyamantri Shikhya Puraskar Web Portal.
The School and Mass Education Minister, Sudam Marndi, commended the vision of the Chief Minister in advancing Odisha through Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas, asserting that many of these institutions are on par with the best schools in the country. He also noted that 261 of the appointed teachers are women.
Chairman of Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya Sangathan, Upendra Tripathy, welcomed the new teachers, emphasizing the collective effort to inspire and empower students.
Interacting with the new teachers and principals, VK Pandian, Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T), emphasized the merit-based and transparent recruitment system. He highlighted the Chief Minister's vision for OAVs to build institutions that prioritize merit and talent, fostering positive change in Odisha.
Pandian also stated that teachers are not only heroes for students but also architects of modern Odisha for the state. He urged them to guide children through their actions and to follow the SCHOOL principles: Sincerity, Camaraderie, Honesty, Obedience, Orderliness, and Learning.
